Abstract (EN)
In this study, arbutin, gallic acid, protocateuchic acid, (+)-catechin, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, (-)-epicatechin, ellagic acid, rutin and quercetin, which are phenolic compounds, found in apple fruits obtained as a result of different hybridization combinations were determined with Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC). Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) was performed with a C18-OH column before the apple juice samples were given into the system. C8 Zorbax Eclipse Plus (150 mm x 3.0 mm ID x 1.8 μm) column was used for the separation of phenolic compounds. Acetonitrile:water:formic acid (5:93:2, v/v) and acetonitrile:water:formic acid (90:8:2, v/v) were used as mobile phases and gradient elution was applied. Ethyl paraben was used as an internal standard. The method was validated by determining the precision, accuracy, linearity, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values for the investigated phenolic compounds.
