Abstract (EN)
Lip shapes today; plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery changes for many people as a result of injuries and traumas related to the face and neck. Our aim in this study is to determine the relationship between the lip morphometry and body types of healthy female individuals between the ages of 18-25 who do not have any trauma or surgical intervention in the facial area. 10 anthropometric measurements were made to determine the somatotype. Height and weight measurements, skinfold thickness (SF) measurements of 4 different regions (triceps, subscapular, suprailiac, calf), bone diameter measurements of two regions (knee and elbow width) and circumference measurements of two different regions (muscular arm and calf) were taken. For lip morphometry measurements, photographs of the volunteers who would participate in the study were taken so that the nose and mouth areas were clearly visible, and measurements were made digitally using certain measurement points as reference. As a result of our study, the p value was found to be significant in the measurements between lip-lip, lip-nose and lip-chin. Somatotypes; parameters between lip-lip and lip-chin among individuals with balanced ectomorphy and endomorphic mesomorph, parameters between lip-lip and lip-chin in individuals with central and endomorph-ectomorph, parameters between lip-lip and lip-chin in individuals with endomorphic ectomorph and endomorphic mesomorph. parameters showed statistically significant difference. For women who are not satisfied with the appearance of their lip area, resorting to plastic surgery may not be the first option. As an alternative to surgery, having certain body measurements may be sufficient. In this way, plastic surgery operations, which are increasingly common today, can be reduced and women can be prevented from losing their natural appearance. In addition, precautions can be taken against the risks of applications to be performed in non-professional centers, which are preferred because they are more affordable.
