Abstract (EN)

Energy is one of the main criteria for sustainable economic and social development. Since the Industrial Revolution, the need and demand for energy for daily life and production stages has been increasing, accompanied by population growth and technological developments. This situation has revealed the need for more efficient and effective control, protection and control requirements in the production, transmission and distribution of energy. In addition, in order for electric power systems to be efficient and useful, they must be planned, designed, constructed and operated properly by providing economic load supply. In order to ensure the sustainable operation of these systems, it is inevitable to resort to solution techniques based on computer programs. The most important benefit of computer modeling of electric power systems is the ability to make maneuvering and control settings in the system, to interpret faults and failures through graphical and analysis results and to intervene earlier in the system. Matlab/Simulink is one of the programs that enable these systems to be modeled and simulated in computer environment and designed in a way that can be analyzed in many ways. In electric power systems, some engineering analyses such as load flow, short circuit and harmonic analysis are important for the continuous, stable and reliable operation of the system both before commissioning and when it is added to the existing network. In addition to the package programs such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT, NEPLAN, SIMARIS, ETAP, PowerWorld used in these analyses, in this study, the load flow analysis of the 10-bus IEEE test system modeling designed using Matlab/Simulink program will be able to see the current, voltage and power changes at various busbars. With short circuit analysis, it will be possible to determine that the short circuit currents reach much larger values than the nominal operating currents. With harmonic analysis, the levels of harmonic current components drawn by non linear loads according to the fundamental component can be determined. In line with these determined values, the load carrying capacity of the existing system and prediction of future network investment planning, relay coordination, control of voltage insulation levels, voltage drop and line losses will be analyzed.
