Abstract (EN)
Root distribution in soil is very important parameter for irrigation and fertilization programs. During irrigation, some plant nutrients can be leached from soil profile. In this research, maize root developments under different irrigation levels were monitored and irrigation programs were applied according to root depth and distribution. Then a nitrogen (NO?) concentration within soil profile was determined. Effective rooting depth was monitored by using minirhizotron camera before each irrigation. Water amount was calculated using effective rooting depth data. Five different irrigation levels which are 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% were applied to the blocks by springer irrigation system. During the research, effects of irrigation levels on seasonal irrigation water demand, plant water uptake, yield and soil nitrogen levels were determined.
