Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT The Effect Of Aerobic Exercise On Cardiopulmonary System In Different Age Groups The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in cardiopulmonary system which is caused by aerobic exercise in different age group of children and find out in which age group aerobic exercise is more effective. Five different groups of participants were formed so as to implement the planned method. Participants were divided into two groups, one of which is experimental and the other is control group. First group (15-17 year), second group (13-14 year), third group (11-12 year), fourth group (9-10year), fifth group (7-8year). A training programme was used in the experimental group. Participants in during 8 weeks this group did aerobic exercise 3 days a week, at the same day and time, lasting one hour. Before starting training and one week after, EKG, spirometer, blood pressure, heart rate, PWC 170 test were applied on the participants, and also their fat was measured. The results obtained before training and after training were compared. The participants in all experimental group made a significant increase in heights compaired with control groups. There was no difference between two groups recording their diastolic blood pressure. In Group I, it was determined that, there was a decrease in the systolic blood pressure of those who did exercise as opposed to those who did not do exercise. In Group I and V, there was a significant decrease in the heart rate of those who did exercise as opposed to those who did not do exercise. In Group I and Group V, sport participant group has more increase in R wave height in V6 lead than non sport participant group. Statistical significant differences were found. In Group II, sport participant group has more decrease in the R/S ratio at VI derivation than non sport participant group. Statistical significant differences were found. At the end of the study, sport participant group compared with non sport participant group, according to VC and FVC, it was found out that sport participant group has more increase in their VC and FVC. Test of PWC 170 was applied to the groups. The participants in all experimental groups made a significant increase in PWC 170 test comparied with control groups.
