Abstract (EN)

The aim of cancer treatment is to select and remove diseased tissues without damaging healthy tissues. Nanotechnology, which has been developing in recent years, serves this purpose. Thanks to nanotechnology, smart drug delivery systems have been developed. The aim of smart drug delivery systems is to transport the drug only to the cancerous areas in the body and to cure the disease without damaging the healthy tissues. Carbon materials are used in smart drug delivery systems due to their important properties. These features are; outstanding optical, thermal, electronic and mechanical properties. In addition, carbon materials can be used in different areas by combining them with various treatment and diagnostic methods against cancer, thanks to their large surface for drug loading. Carbon-based materials (graphdin, fullerene, graphene) are made more usable by doping with various materials (Nickel, Aluminum, Silicon).
