Abstract (EN)
In this study, the biological changes which occurred compared to normal conditions have been studied by using various carbohydrates (maltose, saccharose, lactose, mannitol), applying acridine orange on bacteria in concentrations which are just below toxic effect limit (50,100, and 250 µg) and exposing them to electric currents in 5, 10, and 20- second periods after identifying the samples of bacteria (E.coli, Citrobacter spp, Klebsiella spp. and Proteus spp.) isolated out of sewage water of Çukurova University, Çamlıtepe residence. In addition, the effects of acridine orange and electric currents on resistance of the selected antibiotics have been studied. As a result, while no change occurred in some bacteria, there were significant changes in some other bacteria on antibiotic resistance and their effects on carbohydrates.
