Thesis, The Turkish Language and Literature DepartmentSupervisor: Prof. Dr. Erman ARTUNSeptember 2005, XI + 340 pagesIn this paper, products of transition periods of times like; birth, marriage, deathtraditions and believes, fasts, ceremonies, folk cuisine, folk profession of doctor andanonymous literature are mentioned.In the first section which is connected with folk culture, informations which aretaken from written source are informed and then connection of old Turkish culture withtraditions and believes which are taken from verbal sources is tried to establish.In the second section which includes anonymous folk literature; product ofwriten in verse, writen in verse-prose and prose, anonymous folk literature areexplained. At the end of the each section, forms and contents are evaluated. At the endof this work there is also a dictionary which includes the local words.At the end of this search, it is understood that Feke folk culture is inspired fromMiddle Asia and Anatolian believes and cultures. After the acceptance of Islam, Fekehas gained the new religion?s features and it is still the same.Key Words: Feke, Folk Culture, Transition Periods, Beliefs, Anonymous FolkLiterature.
