The analysis of relations between philosophy, religion and ethics into the frame of virtue notion

From past to present, the relationship between religion and ethics have been discussed permanently, and below this topic there have been revealed many opinions. This is why we examined far-reaching topic as we mentioned by taking into the frame of the virtue notion. Yet, the virtue notion seems important notion as either means or purpose in moral systems. By taking this work into the frame of the virtue notion, we aimed at: when the source of ethics becomes reason, in other words philosophical thought, in the relationship between religion and ethics, what sort of moral system shows up, and what sort of moral system shows up when ethics associates to religion. We made an moral system examination over understandings of virtue which have been formed throughout history. In the first chapter, we explained understanding of virtue of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and MacIntyre whom formed the philosophical thought-based moral system. In the second chapter, we outlined the ideas of religious-moral relations and revealed the understanding of virtue of Farabî, Gazali and Thomas Aquinas associated with religion. In the conclusion part, we have included the evaluation of the related and unrelated moral systems associated with religion.
