Abstract (EN)

This study examines how science teachers evaluate the Ministry of National Education's renewed Measurement and Evaluation Regulation of 2023. The research aims to understand the impact of innovations such as common exams and open-ended or short-answer questions on teachers' practices, student outcomes, and learning achievements. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 science teachers working in Van province, and the data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that teachers support the regulation's positive aspects, such as monitoring student development, ensuring educational coherence, and enhancing international exam success. However, challenges such as resource shortages, implementation difficulties, and inequality of opportunity were prominently highlighted. Teachers also noted the benefits of open-ended questions in fostering creative and critical thinking skills among students, while pointing out the time-consuming nature of the evaluation process and difficulties in ensuring objectivity. Suggestions for improvement included reducing class sizes, providing material support, and offering additional training for educators. This study aims to contribute to the understanding of the impacts of the renewed measurement and evaluation practices and to guide future research in the field by reflecting the perspectives of science teachers.
