Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to search the effect of using concept maps on attitudes and achievement towards science lesson. The search is implemented and settled on the model which consists of pretest ? posttest control group.The study was done on 100 students who studied at 6th class of Primary School of MEB. There were two groups, which were the experiment class and the control class. The research prolonged for 3 weeks. Before the application, Prior Knowledge Test, Success Prior Test, and Attitute Test were applied to the students in order to determine the prior knowledge and their approach towards science. At the end of the application, Success Final Test and Attitute Test were applied to the both groups to determine the effectiveness of Traditional Teaching Method and Concept Map. T-test was used to evaluate the hypothesis.At the end of the research, the students were more successful who treated by concept map at the subject ?Human Circulatory System?. This method will provide a positive cotribution to our education system.Key Words: Concept, Concept Map, Attitute, Success, Traditional teaching method, Human Circulatory System
