Abstract (EN)

Phenantrene-imidazole derivative ligands exhibit various properties due to their chemical structures. These compounds are formed by joining the phenanthrene and imidazole rings. Phenantrene-imidazole derivative ligands are mostly soluble in organic solvents due to their hydrophobic nature. Some phenanthrene-imidazole derivative ligands can also be dissolved in polar solvents such as ionic liquids due to their electrochemical properties. Phenantrene-imidazole derivative ligands may contain proton donor groups (acids) or proton acceptor groups (bases). The presence of these groups can affect the sensitivity of the compound to pH. In addition, some phenanthrene-imidazole derivative ligands can be used in electrochemical applications due to their redox properties. The crystal structures of phenanthrene-imidazole derivative ligands can be studied using techniques such as X-ray diffraction and NMR spectroscopy. These studies can provide more information about the structure and chemical properties of the compound and allow a wider range of use of the compounds. Phenantrene-imidazole derivative ligands can change their biological activities by interacting with proteins. They are known to be particularly effective on G proteins. Therefore, they are important for understanding the functions of G proteins and for the development of drugs that target them. Phenantrene-imidazole derivative ligands also show various biological activities such as antiviral, antitumor and anti-inflammatory effects. Among them is a potential class of compounds that can be used in the treatment of viruses such as COVID-19 due to its antiviral activity. Iron oxide nanoparticles are the nanometer-sized particles of iron oxide (Fe3O4) crystals, a compound composed of iron and oxygen atoms. Iron oxide nanoparticles are used in many applications due to their magnetic properties. They are used as a contrast agent in medical imaging methods, especially magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition, iron oxide nanoparticles are also used in many medical applications such as cancer therapy. Thanks to their high surface area and magnetic properties, iron oxide nanoparticles can also be used as drug carriers in the biomedical field. Thanks to these properties, when used as targeted drug carriers, they can help deliver drugs designed to kill cancer cells more effectively to targeted cells. The preparation of iron oxide nanoparticles is usually carried out by chemical methods. These methods include precipitation, hydrothermal synthesis, and liquid-phase methods. Iron oxide nanoparticles are nanotechnological materials used in many medical and biomedical applications thanks to their magnetic properties and high surface area. The chemical importance of iron oxide nanoparticles stems from their use in many applications thanks to their magnetic properties. The magnetic properties of iron oxide nanoparticles are due to the magnetic moments of the iron ions contained in their crystal structures. This magnetic property of iron oxide nanoparticles can become magnetic by being affected by magnetic fields. Thanks to these properties, iron oxide nanoparticles have many applications. In many medical applications, iron oxide nanoparticles are used in imaging and treatment modalities such as MRI and magnetic hyperthermia therapy. Because of its magnetic properties, it becomes easier to transport iron oxide nanoparticles to targeted areas in the body, which helps the treatment to be more effective. In addition, iron oxide nanoparticles can be used in many other chemical processes. These particles can be used in magnetic separation and magnetic adsorption processes. Chemical groups can be added to the surfaces of iron oxide nanoparticles and thus they can be used in many different applications such as sensors, biosensors and catalysts. The chemical importance of iron oxide nanoparticles is important as they can be used in many different application areas thanks to their magnetic properties and thus make many industrial processes more effective. However, the combined use of these materials could potentially be useful in other medical applications as well. The combined use of phenanthrene-imidazole-derived ligands and ironoxide nanoparticles could also potentially be useful in other medical applications such as biosensors and biomarkers. For example, the use of iron oxide nanoparticles as a magnetic detection platform can be combined with the use of phenanthrene-imidazole derivative ligands for the detection of blood sugar, cholesterol and other biological molecules. This could make it possible to diagnose many different biological molecules faster and more accurately. The combined use of phenanthrene-imidazole derivative ligands and iron oxide nanoparticles is potentially useful in a variety of application areas, such as medical imaging, biosensors, and other biomedical applications apart from cancer therapy. The main substance used in this thesis is 9,10-phenanthrenedione. The compounds to be synthesized are phenanthrene-imidazole derivative iron oxide nanoparticles. Targeted intermediates and end-product nanoparticles will be characterized by various spectroscopic methods.
