Abstract (EN)

In this study the N.N'bis-(ferrocenylmethylene)ethylenediamine (FcNN) Schiff base was synthesized by condensation of ferrocenylaldehyde with ethylenediamine. The Schiff base and its complexes were characterized respectively by, IR, Mass, NMR and UV spectroscopic methods and mp, elementel analysis. According to these data the probable structures, have been assigned to these complexes. They are of the formula [TiCl4(FcNN)], [SnCl4(FcNN)], [SnCl2(FcNN)(H2O)2], [Cu(NO3)2(FcNN)(H2O)2] and [Cd(NO3)2(FcNN)(H2O)2] was synthesized by the reaction of metal compounds (TiCl4, SnCl4, SnCl2, Cu(NO3)2·2,5H2O and Cd(NO3)2·4H2O) with FcNN Schiff base ligand in solvent (MeOH, toluen) The reaction of the metal compounds (MoCl4(THF)2, SnMe2Cl2) with FcNN have been examined and the structures of products have been investigated by spectroscopic methods (IR, Mass and UV ) and mp, elementel analysis.
