Abstract (EN)

This study aims to introduce Fevziye Bayramova, one of the prominent figures of contemporary Tatar literature, to Turkish literary scholarship and to reveal her position and significance in the literary world through an examination of the structural elements employed in her novels. In this context, the literary, social, and political atmosphere that shaped Bayramova's intellectual development is discussed, and a general framework is drawn regarding the author's life, artistic perspective, and works. The study evaluates the historical and social periods addressed in Bayramova's works within the framework of the relationship between period and character, and seeks to reveal the literary quality of the narrative world constructed through her cast of characters. Within the scope of the thesis, Fevziye Bayramova's works Küçüm Han, Bitlěk (Maske), and Kıñgırav (Zil) are analyzed in terms of fundamental narrative elements such as time, space, point of view, narrator, and character structure. Written in different genres and periods, these three works reflect the author's distinctive narrative approach that brings together historical reality and individual experience. Küçüm Han, set against a historical background, centers on the period of the Kazan Khanate and foregrounds themes of national identity, historical consciousness, and collective memory. Bitlěk, on the other hand, offers a psychological narrative focusing on women's social position, identity quest, and individual alienation in the process of modernization. Kıñgırav addresses the social oppression of the Stalinist repression period, portraying the individual's fragility in the face of historical processes through themes of fear and trauma. In the analyzed works, the element of period is not limited to serving as a historical background; rather, it is constructed as a fundamental factor shaping the characters' identity formation. In Bayramova's narratives, the elements of time, space, and narrator complement one another, forming a holistic structure that renders both individual and collective memory visible. In this respect, Fevziye Bayramova establishes a powerful narrative world in contemporary Tatar prose that places the relationship between period and character at its center and reflects individual and social memory in an integrated manner.
