Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to do a resarch on secondary school students to determine whether the misconceptions about electrostatics can be remedied by using cartoons. In this study, the sample consisted of a total 51 students in 10th grade on Anatolian high school participated in this study. A pre-test, post-test research model was used in this study. The misconception test with a reliability coefficient 0.73 (Koçyiğit, 2003) was administrated as to the students to determine the misconceptions. By solicitiy and collecting of expert views, cartoons about electrostatics which were developed by the researchers were used in teaching. Meanwhile, at the end of this unit, the misconception test was administered once again as post-test. By examining the pre and post test result, it was clearly observed that the cartoon aproach diminishes the misconceptions about electrostatics.
