The impact of physically disabled individuals on their families' holiday decision

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of physically disabled individuals on their families' holiday decision. In addition, secondarily object of the study is whether personal and social factors and internet, disabled associations, bank loans, promotions offered by accommodation establishments and travel agents have effects on holiday purchase decision-making process of disabled or not.Firstly, the study scanned existing literature and the questions for interview are formed according to the semi-structured interview approach. According to the maximum variety sample, twenty participants was interviewed in Ankara. The obtained data were subjected to descriptive analysis.According to the descriptive analysis individuals with physical disabilities, in this study these result was determined; they have rights in decisions of family holiday decision, have more contribution in holiday purchase decisions-making process mostly in case of information research, They had decided on an individual holiday and in their holidays with their families they have a joint decision-making. Moreover, the impact of personal and social factors and the internet, disabled associations, the promotional offer of accommodation establishments to be determined. They don?t take advantage of bank loans and also they don?t benefit from the services of a travel agency that have a special tour for disabled people. Also there is a problem in implementation of laws issues and faced a lack of accommodations establishments have been determined.Key Words: Disability, Vacation, Family, Buying Decision Process, Ankara
