Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, coordination polymers containing two new Metal Organic Frameworks (MOF) were synthesized. In the first stage of the study to develop metal-organic material; Different complexes of cadmium (Cd) and europium (Eu) metals with trimesic (TMA) and terephthalic (TFA) acids, containing 1,10 Phenanthroline ligand with new metal organic structure, were synthesized under solvothermal conditions. Fluorescence spectrometer, UV-Vis Spectrometer, Maldi-TOF mass spectrometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) mapping, Thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Single Crystalline X-Ray Diffraction (PXRD) were used for the characterization of synthesized Eu-Phen-TFA and Cd-Phen-TMA. Using the fluorescence properties of synthesized Eu-Phen-TFA and Cd-Phen-TMA materials, their use as fluorescence sensors in the determination of different analytes such as hormones (T3,T4), metal ions (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Cr3+, Al3+, Fe3+) and molecular species (ascorbic acid, glucose) was investigated. It can be observed that when the results were evaluated, Eu-Phen-TFA material was sensitive to T3 and T4 hormones as well as Cu2+ and Ni2+ cations. Cd-Phen-TMA material was found to be sensitive Cu2+ and Ni2+ cations. The obtained results showed that two synthesized MOF structures have suitable application area as fluorescence sensors. In addition, Cd-Phen-TMA material was used as an adsorbent in the removal of diclofenac, which is a drug active ingredient and is classified as organic micropollutants. In addition to these studies, the catalytic effect of Eu-Phen-TFA was also investigated by using the synthesized Eu-Phen-TFA material in methylene blue (MM) color removal studies. The results showed that the methylene blue dyestuff was degraded by 92% for a short period of time 24 minutes.
