Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the average two years effects after orthodontic treatment of forsus appliance on centric relation of condyle with centric relation registration technique. Our research was conducted on 32 patients with Class II division 1 malocclusion with a mean age of 15 years. "Power Centric" registration described by Roth were recorded using mandibular position indicator (MPI) at the follow-up period, before and after forsus appliance. According to MPI findings, the amount of vertical displacement was greater than the horizontal displacement in both right and left sides in all three period records. The amount of condylar displacement was significantly decreased after forsus appliance and follow-up period both vertical and horizontal directions on the patients who diagnosed out of physiologic limits before forsus treatment. There were no significant differences on the patients who diagnosed within physiologic limits before treatment, after treatment and follow-up period. Consequently, it had been determined that the vertical and horizontal condylar displacement out of physiologic limits was decreased on patients with forsus treatment and this situation was preserved in two years follow-up period.
