Abstract (EN)
Between the 18th and 20th centuries, when the modern world was established, radical changes and transformations created a differentiation in the social, economic and cultural building blocks of all humanity. One side of the coin of these changes has been the wonders of science, technique and art brought about by the revolutions of the nations in the West, while the other side, which has remained in the dark, has been the blood, tears and savagery caused by colonial activities. The most important actors of the colonisation activity are the United Kingdom and France. In the period that can be called the age of colonialism, western powers spread to every region of the world in every way.Perhaps it was the black-skinned people of the Black Continent who endured the greatest difficulties during this expansion.Morocco, a North African country, also went through bloody and painful times under French and Spanish rule, primarily due to its strategic location. The French colonial administration adopted the idea, developed by the intellectuals and politicians of the French nation, that their nation had a 'civilising' mission, and proceeded to build 'improved, modernised, modified' indigenous-colonial nations in their colonies. So much so that; within the framework of this mission, it has used education as the most important factor to assimilate nations in language, religion and culture. In addition, since the basis of colonial activity was economic, harsh economic conditions were imposed on the colonised nations. This study aims to summarise the historical development of the independence of modern-day Morocco in the north-west of Africa, or the Maghreb (the place where the sun sets), where colonial activities are considered a natural state of affairs and the biggest market for meeting the need for raw materials and labour power that emerged with the realisation of the industrial revolution, from Spanish and especially French colonialism. The study provides a factual-historical account of the Moroccan State, separated by important turning points, and the social, economic and administrative changes and transformations it underwent, and then talks about the conflicts between the colonial administrations and their experiences under colonial rule. The article analyses the quantitative and qualitative changes caused by the colonial administrations on the Berbers, the indigenous nation of the region, and the Arabs, who were like the indigenous nation in time, and expresses the struggle to gain their independence from the colonial administration by revealing its essence and transferring it in historical order. The nationalist movement, which was an important turning point in the nation statehood of Morocco, and the success of the establishment of a new constitutional monarchy, the Kingdom of the State of Morocco, after the end of the protectorate agreement in 1956 and their independence from the French colonialists and shortly afterwards from the Spanish colonialists, at the end of an arduous struggle in the direction of this movement, supported by the people and the monarchy together.
