A new designed and modelled distance education system prepared for the faculty of Fırat University

ABSTRACT Master Thesis A NEW DESIGNED AND MODELLED DISTANCE EDUCATION SYSTEM PREPARED FOR THE FACULTY OF FIRAT UNIVERSITY Yusuf YALÇIN Firat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Electronics and Computer Education 2005, Pages 72 The goal of this study is to present the content, characteristics, usage, and administration of new developed software which enables to the faculty of Fırat University to prepare their own course materials themselves for a distance education without needing any technical additional s upport and substructure. It is possible for a faculty to form and design easily his/her personal information, academic studies, recommendations, sources, suggestions of the related internet sites, and to create new curriculum content, discussion pages, to add new courses in virtual environment and to prepare quizzes using new created software. New software was created and developed evaluating and analyzing the related literature in the field of the distance education. In the section of "conclusion and recommendation" there have been expressed and recommended some guiding details to the researchers and academicians who may continue and develop this software further.
