Abstract (EN)
Tuberculosis is a disease which can pleace on every organ, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The incidence of TB has increased due to the increase immunosuppressive patients by diseases and drug use. The diagnosis of ETB is mostly clinical, histopathologic, radiologic, less frequent microbiological diagnosis. Therefore, the diagnosis is difficult. In our study, it was planned to uncover the helper diagnostic data the clinical, laboratory data, treatment side effects and outcomes of ETB patients in a retrospective manner. The cases were selected patients who extrapulmonary tuberculosis diagnosed and treatment initiated between January 2012 and March 2017 in Fırat University Hospital Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department. Data obtained from the study were analyzed using the ''Statistical Packages for the Social Science'' (SPSS) 22 statistical program. The study included 125 patients, 28,8% were male and 71,2% were female. Of the patients ETB diagnosed 49% were lymphadenitis, 14% were musculoskeletal system, 10% were miliary, 4% were genitourinary system, 4% were meningitis, 5% were gastrointestinal system, 5% were mastitis, 9% was other organ. Patients most frequently presented with complaints of swelling, sweating and fever. CRP and ESR values were generally found to be high. TDT were positive for 61,1% of the patients and quantiferon test were positive for 71% of the patients. It was detected produce mycobacterial cultures in 12,8% of our patients, PZR positiveness in 6,4% of our patients, ARB positiveness in 16,8% of our patients. Granuloma structures were seen in 81.9% of the patients who underwent histopathologic examination and caseitization necrosis was detected in 64.7% of the granulomas. Tuberculosis must be considered in the differential diagnosis of infectious diseases in which no etiology is detected in areas where TB is common, such as our country. It is thought that none of the ETB diagnostic methods have the sensitivity and specificity that can be used alone, and that the evaluation of TST or quantiferon can still be used for diagnosis. There is a need for new tests that high sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of ETB. Keywords: extrapulmonary tuberculos, epidemiology, tuberculin skin test, quantiferon test
