ON EXAMINATION AND APPRAISEMENT OF A NON-TRIAL-AND- ERROR METHOD FOR LAG-LEAD COMPENSATOR DESIGN IN FREQUENCY DOMAIN (Master Thesis) Mustafa İlker HELVACIO?LU GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 2003 ABSTRACT In this thesis, the author investigated the genare! applicability of a non- trial-and-error method for the design of lag-lead compensators in the frequency domain. For this purpose, a computer program in Matlab, called "Lag-lead" was prepared. Four selected design problems were solved by employing both the classical Bode design method and investigated design method. And the results obtained by the two methods named above were compared. Based on the comparisons, the applicability and effectiveness of the new design method were verified.
