Investigation of the effects of sharp games in football on some physiological and motorical properties

Abstract (EN)

Objective: It is the examination of the effect of narrow field games on some physiological and motoric properties in football. Material and Methods: Narrow field game training in football has been used as an alternative to the physiological and motoric requirements in traditional interval, aerobic and anaerobic training. Football players from Aydınspor football team (n=26) in the Super Amateur Football League in Aydın participated in the research. The football players (n=13) participating in the study were divided into two groups as the study (n=13) control group. The eight-week 3v3 and 4v4 narrow field game training program included in the pre-season training program was applied to the football players for 3 days. Eight weeks before the start of the training program, Body Weights and Height Measurements, 20-meter Sprint Test, Repeated Sprint Test, Illinois agility test, Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test were applied to both groups. In addition to their routine soccer training, the experimental group continued their narrow field games (3v3, 4v4) and the control group continued their routine soccer training. The analysis of the obtained data was done with SPSS 25.0 package program. Statistically, the Independent Sample T Test (Independent Sample t-test) was used in the measurements between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental and control groups, and the Paired Sample T-test (Dependent Sample t-test) was used in the analysis between the pre-test and post-test. Results: As a result of the research findings, it is seen that there is a statistically significant difference in the dependent sample t-test performed according to the results of the 20-meter Sprint Run, Illinois Agility Test, Yo Yo Total Distance test, VO2 Max (kg/ml/min) test (p<0.05). When we look at the Dependent Sample T Test results of Repetitive Sprint Measurements, the power, best time, ideal time measurements were in the experimental group; Statistically significant difference was observed in both the experimental and control groups in the mean time and worst time measurements, and in the control group in the fatigue index measurement (p<0.05). When we look at the Independent Sample T-Test Results According to the Pre-Test Results of the Experimental and Control Groups, it is seen that there is a statistically significant difference as a result of the 20 meter sprint run, Illinois agility, Power, Average Time, Best Time, Ideal Time, Fatigue Time and Fatigue Index analyzes (p <0.05). According to the post-test measurements of the experimental and control groups, there is a statistically significant difference in the results of the independent sample t-test results, Illiginious agility, Yo Yo Test, VO2 max measurement, Power, Best Time, Worst time, Ideal Time and Fatigue Index analyzes (p <0.05). Conclusion: As a result of this study, significant differences were observed for the development of Narrow Field Play training in 20 meters sprint, Illinois agility, Aerobic and Anaerobic Endurance in football players.
