Abstract (EN)

All living systems are affected by radiation and magnetic field (MF) in a way of their response systems. The effect of gamma radiation and magnetic field?s changes on the biological systems have drawn attention of many scientist in biology, medicine and agriculture. Particularly in the recent years, many scientists have also started to investigate the positive effects of the MF in biological systems besides the negative one.In this study, seperate and combined effects of gamma radiation and magnetic fields on Defiance, General and Iraquous soybean varities has been determined under greenhouse conditions and in greenhouse experiment the effects of magnetic fields and radiation treatments on different soybean varities has been purposed on the percentage of germinating seeds, plant height and chlorophyll content. As a result, it was determined that the sensivity of Defiance, General ve Iraquous soybean varieties to radiation has changed at the end of the application of combined magnetic fields and radiation treatments. In the three soybean varieties, on the combined magnetic fields and radiation applications, it was determined that magnetic fields has an effect to reduce the negative effects caused by the single application of ?-radiation and also put forward that these reduced effects were essential on the characteristics such as percentage of germinating seeds, seedling height, chlorophyll quantities of soybean.Key Word: Gamma radiation, Magnetic fields, Soybean
