Abstract (EN)
Trying to find a place for the suffixes of the Turkish language under two headings as derivational suffix and inflectional suffix has brought grammatical problems. According to this dual classification, which is made with a formalist approach in today's understanding of grammar, the adjective suffix is not mentioned in the majority of studies. These suffixes, which are common with derivational suffixes in terms of being added to the noun, but do not change meaning like them, are included in the title of derivational suffixes. However, studies carried out in recent years, taking into account the affixation pattern of the Turkish language, reveal that adjective suffixes, which are in the category of suffixes that form noun phrases, cannot be handled under the title of derivational suffixes because they do not have the function of changing meaning. Adjective suffixes, which are included in the class of suffixes that form noun phrases, are a grammatical element with various sub-functions, in that they do not change the meaning, but give the function of adjective to the noun to which they are added, and qualify the noun it precedes. In this context, in our study, the work named "Garib-nāme", which best reflects the grammatical features of the Old Anatolian Turkish period and was chosen as a source because it is a voluminous work, was scanned and adjective suffixes and their sub-functions were tried to be determined and their examples were recorded. While recording examples with adjective suffixes, the facsimile of the text was taken into account. The numbers of the couplets in which the examples are used are given in parentheses. A certain number of examples, which are numerous and repeat the same function, have been recorded. While examples of phrases with rich content are given, the complement element with adjective suffix and the complement element it qualifies are shown in bold and the suffixes they take are marked.
