Obstacles to good morality in al-Ghazzal thought

In this study, the ideas of a scholar like al-Ghazali who guided the Islamic Thought System about the obstacles in front of beautiful morality were examined. The main purpose in the study was to try to present the reasons why beautiful morality cannot in human, both theoretically and practically. At the heart of the moral understanding of al-Ghazali, there is a condition to be in accordance with reason and revelation. He focuses on what beautiful morality is before ugly morality. In the study, the work of İhyâ'û Ulûmi'd-Dîn, which belongs to al-Ghazali regarding the beautiful morality, is in the third part on the name of "Mûhlîkât". In this part, the spiritual, moral aspect of man, the self-nurture, the control of eating and drinking and sexual desires, the disasters of the language; anger, hatred and envy; the meaning and importance of the world, stinginess and passion for goods; Her passion for position, arrogance, self-conceit and pride were discussed. These issues were analyzed in two main and general terms. Given the fact that al-Ghazali handled ugly morality and the elements attached to it in various parts of the book, it can be easily stated that he regards them as obstacles in front of beautiful morality.
