Abstract (EN)
In this study, Optimum insulation thicknesses of building exterior walls were determined by using two different non-combustible insulation materials in high-rise buildings. Calculations were done by using heating degree-days values concerning life-cycle cost analysis. Natural gas was used as fuel. Stone wool and gas concrete thermal insulation board were chosen as insulation materials. In this case, by applying these insulation materials to the outer walls, the optimum insulation thickness, energy-saving and payback period were calculated according to the increasing insulation thicknesses.
