Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, globalization causes a hard competition between companies. In this competition, reverse logistic activities became a new working area for the companies. Thus, reverse logistic activities must be held systematically, economically, and environmentally. Social responsibility, regulations, keeping natural resources and using less material are all inside the reverse logistic activities. Reverse logistic activities begins with collecting of return goods and followed by decomposition, classification, maintenance, waste disposal in minimum damage and managing the raw materials after the classifications. Although reverse logistic is a well-known and applied approach in developed countries, it is not enough popular in Turkey, especially in Gaziantep because of weak awareness, lack of systematically implementation. In this study, the reverse logistics awareness of the companies in Gaziantep Organized Industry Zone is analyzed. To do so, a questionnaire is created with the help of experts about reverse logistics and literature and then it is applied to 101 companies from different sectors. Results show that the awareness about reverse logistic is over the average. However industry of Gaziantep has some problems on application of reverse logistic activities systematically and the employees need to be educated about reverse logistic.
