Abstract (EN)
Pistachio is responsible for triggering moderate to severe Ig E - mediated reactions in allergic individuals. Pistachio allergy has gained special attention, mainly due to its intrinsic relationship with cashew allergy. As with other nuts, the prevalence of peanut and walnut allergies is increasing worldwide. P.vera is grawn and consumed in our region. The determination of the allergenic potential of this species is of great importance. In this study, the morphologies of Pistacia vera pollen belonging to the Anacardiaceae family in South Eastern Anatolia were examined by light microscopy and pollen extract was prepared. The obtained crude pollen extract belongs P.vera grown in the flora of this region. BCA technique was used to determine total protein concentration in the pollen extracts. The protein concentration of P. vera pollen extracts obtained in our study is quite high. The results obtained from this study systematic studies and the diagnosis of contribute to both allergic diseases caused by pollens.
