Abstract (EN)

In this project, a thousand and ten people in the Thrace region are examined to determine the the usage patterns of food supplements and the factors that affect the preferences of them. The participants were selected by random sampling method and they were asked to answer questions about the issue either through social networks or face to face. The data obtained from the research were evaluated according to the demographic groups in general and general and the results were expressed with graphs, percentages and statistical data. According to the research results; Although the majority of the people are not regular but have the habit of using food supplements, the use of food supplements is preferred as vitamin-mineral compositions and the level of awareness is high in fish oils containing Omega group fatty acids together with this group. The fact that the level of knowledge about the natural and quality aspects of the product is taken into consideration, the level of knowledge about the situations where the food supplements can be harmful, but it is more insufficient in men than the women, the people are hesitant about the reliability of the food supplements taken from the transfers. We believe that the implementation of deterrent penalties and the increase of audits should be increased in order to prevent production and sales.
