450 SUMMARY Houses which are a fragment of humanlife, have come in to being as a necessity and in the caurse of time have lasted their progress by changing some of their characteristics. Houses have a specific structure that reflect the economic conditions, tradiation, life style; briefly the culture of people who lives in them. In Turks, we can perceive the progressing of house architecture and the examples of rich decoration dating from 17th and 18th century. However, decorates of Turk houses have been a secondary subject for long times and until XIX centuries and no scientific research has seen about it. The oldest historical house in the center of Yozgat City is dated 18th century's end. This house has been left and its impossible to use it. In this investigation which is made to remove the deficiency about this issue;- Çapanoğlu Başçavuşoğlu mosque and Nizamoğlu Mansion were accepted as foundation to confirm the history of samples. The Historical houses in the centre of Yozgat have great importance because of their function and decorates. Turkish Decorating art has been affected by many decorating tradiations. But it has the most important role for Turkish idea with its colour, composition, motif and ingenuousness peculiar to Turks. When the samples are analized it is seen that materials, technique, motif, colour and composition properties were alike with decorating arts of that century. And it is also seen that with their tecnique and esthetic, late term Yozgat Houses decorates are at a high level. West art's effects were seen in house decorating at the end of 18 th century. In this period many colours were used in ceiling, cupboards and tulips, roses, pinks and by them bunches of flowers in vase and every kind of motif were applied.449 19. yüzyıl süslemelerinde 18. yüzyılın devamı olmakla birlikte renk ve malzeme, teknik ve kompozisyonda artış gözlenmektedir. 19. yüzyıl sonunda ev süslemeleri yüzyıl başının tüm özelliklerini sürdürmekle birlikte, bu dönemde Barok Kokoko üslubu Ev süslemelerinde yoğun olarak görülmektedir. Bütün bu araştırmalar Yozgat ili tarihi evlerinin geç dönem, Türk süsleme sanatının üslup özelliklerini taşıdığını göstermektedir. Yozgat evleri, geç devirler Türk minyatür geleneğinin sonu ile Batı etkisinde gelişen sanat arasındaki geçiş dönemini yaşamıştır. Ve bu devire rastlay an duvar resimlerinin karakteristik özelliklerini vermektedir. Anadolu evlerinde ender görülen figürlü resmi göstermektedir. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda Orta Asyadan günümüze kadar evlerin genel özellikleri ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiş. Geç dönem Yozgat ili süslemelerinin özellikleri fotoğraf, slayt ve çizimlerle saptanmıştır. Türk sanatı, tarihi süslemesi ve kültürünün tanıtılıp yaşatılmasına katkıda bu lunacağına inandığımız bu araştırmanın, bundan sonraki araştırmacılar için kaynak olacağı inancındayız.
