Typology research of storage units in traditional dwelling in terms of space and furniture: Akseki, İlvat villages example

The role and importance of local architecture in the traditional texture is great. Traditional dwellings in local architecture; the family structure of the people living in that region is shaped by the influence of religion, culture, social relations, climate and topography. The storage concept, which defines an important act of service in traditional dwellings, has a local approach inspired by both socio-cultural and natural environment in terms of space and equipment setup. The function of storage units, construction technique, materials, decorations, etc. in residential buildings, which are an important indicator of daily life, are identified to fund other researches and their typology research constitutes the main purpose of the study. In this context, the research consists of 6 stages. In the first part; the information about the problem, purpose and scope of the study is included. In the second part; The concept of storage, its historical development, storage formation in the space-action relationship, traditional Anatolian dwelling interior and storage units, Akseki Region and information about its traditional dwelling were examined. In the third part; Information about the Akseki İlvat Region, research method was given. Afterwards, identity cards of traditional residences were created and data on the study area were collected. In the fourth chapter, in the light of the information obtained, indoor storage units of the houses; It has been analyzed in terms of functional, reinforcement, construction technique, material and decorative features. In the fifth part; The storage units are classified in terms of space and reinforcement setup and the typology of these units has been examined. In the last section, the general results of the literature and the field study are made and the recommendations are mentioned. In the light of the inventory studies, the typologies of the storage units have been revealed in terms of the space and equipment set up in the traditional dwellings of Akseki and Ilvat Villages, and it has been observed that the role of the storage units is more qualified in terms of reinforcement.
