Abstract (EN)
SUMMARYThe flower is the loveliest gift that the nature has made to humanity. Nomedsociaties firstly saw the flowers blooming over mointains, meadows, plateaus. Thecolours, beautios, smells and the shapes of the flowers attracting the nomads hadthem interested in flowers.The love of flowers lieved in differend forms in differents terms till today.Previously people used the flowers as it is found in nature later on, after İslamculture, building statue and darving picture of living things were both forbidden andour people began to use same plants like flowers, fruits, trees, leaves as motf in art.An art branch borned using the plant motifs. Especially flower motifs wereused in different places like as wearing, porcelain, weaving, handwork, wooden,book art, gravestone and in this way flower language formed. People beagn to tellthe meaning of the things by flower motifs which they could not tell in words.This study planned clarify, the fields that the flower motifs used in, the kindof the flowers and their meanings. And soon to clarify in which lessons, in whichproducts, and how often are used in Decorative Arts Faculty at our university.İn our study, it is possible to find the outputs, of our research made inmuseums, in our university and from published materials.A drawing was made of each sample after they were fırst fotographed andthan analized in observation forms. Next the data in the knowledge forms wereconverted into tables and evaluated.İn our study the samples in museums are examined haw and what kind offlowers were used in which fields. And tried to emphasize the importance oftraditional values and to transfer to next generation together with giving opportunityto create usefull and artistic prodacts in different technics parallel to current needs.
