Investigation of traditional Tamzara weaving fabri̇c and use in clothing designs

In this thesis, it is hoped that the technical features of traditional Tamzara weaving will be transferred to present and future generations without deteriorating. It is also Tamzara weavings are intended to be saved from being a dusty museum object. In the literature review, it is seen that it is not included in the official records and has little place.The introduction of Tamzara weaving and its use as a geographical sign is a sincere wish of the study.Tamzara weavings, designed and produced in the light of field studies, were used in children's clothing designs and presented to the textile sector and academy.The study consists of five main sections. In the first section; Determination of the Problem, Purpose and Importance of the Study, Assumptions within the scope of the Methodology of the Study, Method of the Study, Universe and Sample sections and the general line of the study were tried to be drawn. In the second part, general information about Giresun Province, Şebinkarahisar and Tamzara Neighborhood is given.Weaving history and development process are examined and technical features, usage areas and production parameters of Tamzara Weaving are presented in a wide range.Finally, the conceptual framework has been completed with the data obtained from previous projects, fashion shows, exhibitions and news in the press about Tamzara Weaving. In the third chapter, ''Material" and ''Methods" are presented in the study, including the story board of the design, woven fabric designs, production process of woven fabrics, garment design drawings and production of garments. In the fourth section; The findings and analyzes of Tamzara woven fabrics obtained from field researches and the designs of children's garments produced by using Tamzara woven fabrics were presented and the findings of the study were put forward and interpreted and the details were underlined.
