Abstract (EN)
In this study, the Traditional Turkish Folk Music has been examined for its place in the primary and secondary school education programme together with the examination of six ayak corresponding to those found inthe Traditional Turkish Folk Music. For this purpose, 1000 folkloric pieces found in the Turkish Folk Music repertoire of Turkish Radio and Television Association have been examined for their voice register, lyrics, rhythm structure, the length and scales. According to the results obtained, the examined six ayak were adjusted to the educational structure in schools and five melodies were formed from each ayak for educational purposes. In parallel to these melodies, four folkloric songs for each mode were placed as adjuncts to form a teaching repertoire.
