Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to define the applicability of a traditional Turkish art musical instrument, lute and to investigate its effectiveness in music teaching by referring to the opinion of music teachers using lute in teaching. Interviews were conducted with 15 teachers who can play the lute and work in various geographical locations. As a result of these interviews, the extent and the form of its use in music teaching was determined. Based on the information gathered from the data, the effectiveness of lute in teaching various subjects, teaching different songs in different forms and using out-of-school activities was observed.
