There were weak negative correlations between general self-efficacy and the level of interpersonal difficulty, overly accomodating and socially avoidant behaviours. There were weak positive correlations between shame, guilt and anger, and overly accomodating and socially avoidant behaviours. It was concluded that guilt has a mediating effect on the relationship between general self-efficacy and overly accomodating and socially avoidant behaviours in interpersonal problems.
