Abstract (EN)
There has been an increasing trend in using genetic algorithms (GAs) in engineering. This has been realized by numerous successful applications. In this study, the application of genetic algorithms to job sequencing problems is introduced. Several problems are solved by both GAs and well-known heuristics. The results and their comparison are presented in the paper. It has been proven that GAs are more successful than the others, especially when the large numbers of jobs and machines are considered KEYWORDS : Genetic algorithms, Job sequencinng, Genetic search vm
