Abstract (EN)

This thesis consist of five chapters.In the first chapter; information was given about nonlinear problems and perturbation tecniques.In the second chapter; some fundamental definitions and theorems, often used in applied mathematics and thesis, were given. In the third chapter; the history and basic structure of variational iteration and modified variational iteration method were given.In the fourth chapter; modified variational iteration method has been applied for natural convection of Darcian fluid about a vertical full cone embedded in pours media prescribed surface heat flux and have made a comparision with other solutions.In the fifth chapter; modified variational iteration method has been applied to evaulate the efficiency of straight fins with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and to determine the temperature distribution within the fin and have made a comparision with other solutions.Key Words: Variational Iteration Method (VIM), Modified Variational Iteration Method (MVIM), Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM), Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM), Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), Nümeric Method.
