Entrepreneurship ecosystem: A research on Bursa zone

Nowadays, one of the most important priorities in economic planning of many countries is to increase entrepreneurship and to achieve economic growth. The entrepreneurial ecosystem, which encompasses all economic, sociological, and cultural elements that affect the formation, growth and survival of an enterprise, has a major impact on the success of an enterprise. When we look at the world economy, it is seen that successful initiatives are easily emerging and growing from healthy functioning and established entrepreneurship ecosystems. In addition, the economy of a country that has established the entrepreneurship ecosystem is immediately noticeable compared to the others with its growth. In short, the entrepreneurial ecosystem is closely linked to economic growth and is closely related to the welfare of the country. In this study, the entrepreneurship ecosystem along with its elements are analyzed within the scope of a field research on the companies within ULUTEK in Bursa. Within the scope of the research, we interviewed one-on-one with innovative companies that produce technology, which is described as techno-venture. The aim of the study isto explain the concept of entrepreneurship ecosystem, its elements, entrepreneurship ecosystem of Bursa, starting from the place of entrepreneurship in economic theory, also to investigate the elements of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the growth of enterprises in Bursa. This study has the characteristics to guide entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs in Bursa and the results of this study provide valuable contributions to the literature on entrepreneurship ecosystem.
