Abstract (EN)

As days go by digital technology gets more into the cockpit. One of thelargest effects of advancing technology on the modern helicoptercockpit has been the transformation into glass and automated models. There are certainly many benefits to this change, but one point thatshould not be ruled out is how the new cockpit design will affect flightsafety. Tests are being carried out on the accident rates of glasscockpit model helicopters. There are still some helicopter models thatdo not have enough flight hours to get an accurate statisticalsignificance. However, research has shown how the glass cockpitmodel helicopter accident rates may be reduced. Crew resourcemanagement training, which has been put into practice and has beensuccessful on reducing the accident rates of other model helicoptersfor years, may also be successful on glass cockpit models.
