Abstract (EN)
In this study, nine compounds containing two different ester groups were synthesized in order to obtain new glycolate compounds with a pleasant smell. The synthesis method is based on the nucleophilic substitution of alkyl 2-chloroacetic acids with sodium salts of various organic acids in reaction media. The products were purified by extraction and crystallization methods. The structures of the samples were proved by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and FT IR analysis. The odour characteristics of the products were revealed by the thesis team by considering the samples with similar odour characteristics. In general, cinnamic acid derivative products smell balsamic and cinnamon-like, while methacrylate derivatives have rosy, floral and mushroom odour characteristics. It was noted that compound 3f has the potential to enter perfumery formulation.
