Abstract (EN)
Within the scope, to determine velocity and strain field change in the Southwestern Anatolia, GNSS measurements are carried out in the Southwestern Anatolia Tectonic GNSS Network (SATGN) which has 30 stations established in the previous years. When velocity field is analysed, we observed that study field has moved to southwestern at 10-35 mm velocity per year with regard to Eurasia Reference System. It is determined that velocity values are getting grow up to southwestern and it reaches max. 35 mm/year at KNID station. Strain-stress fields of the study area are defined using GNSS velocities obtained from the measurements and these fields are compared with focal mechanism solutions of earthquakes occured in the region. It is hard to make interpretation about faulting types because earthquakes do not form generally surface breaks in the region. In this study, the harmony observed in the many regions between focal mechanism solutions and strain fields, indicates high accuracy of the reviews, especially related to regions without earthquake solutions. A great similarity is observed among the strain fields analyses for two different time intervals. The differences in the strain fields are based on measurement errors and deformations caused by the earthquakes took place in the study region.
