Abstract (EN)

As a result of a 2-year survey and face to face study conducted in Gökçebağ town of Siirt Province and surrounding regions between 2019-2020, it was determined that a total of 87 different taxon belonging to 33 families were used for different purposes such as food, healing, fuel, animal feed, and ornamental purposes. Since many families make a living by dealing with vineyards and gardens in the study area, many different plants are cultivated. As a result of the study, the first ten families containing the most taxa were Rosaceae (14), Asteraceae (10), Amaryllidaceae (5), Brassicaceae (5), Lamiaceae (5), Apiaceae (4), Moraceae (4) Polygonaceae (3), Amaranthaceae (3), Anacardiaceae (3), and Cucurbitaceae (3), respectively. Plants, according to their intended use, were used for food (76), healing (37), animal feed (7), fuel (6), ornamental (5), and other purposes (paint, cleaning, aroma, cosmetics, hedge plants) (5), respectively. Of the plants identified, 22 were from Iran-Turan, 6 were from the Mediterranean phytogeographical region and 59 taxa did not belong to any phytogeographical region.
