Conservation project of 1 layout 1126 parcel civil architectural building

Within the scope of this thesis, the house of Sincan Family, which is located in Bursa province, Nilüfer district, Gölyazı neighborhood, layout 1, 1126 parcel, consists of two floors and a mezzanine floor, and was built with a indoor hall plan type, was studied. Although it was used until recently, the building is abandoned and in need of intervention at this point. The building is getting damaged day by day. Studies have been carried out to determine, protect and re-function the features that need to be protected in the building, which is the subject of the thesis, and these studies are handled in accordance with the principles of universal protection. A study of the building was performed to determine the state of the building elements and take steps to preservation. After the current state of the building was documented and analyzed in detail, the restitution projects were created. Some literature and fieldwork were also done in the surrounding area. Subsequently, structural evaluation and material problems intervention methods were determined to protect the building and give it a new function. Located in Gölyazı, the case study building is part of the city's collective memory. Having been home to a prominent family in the region, the building is a rare example of its period. In addition to being in an urban site, the fact that it is connected to Uluabat Lake increases the significance of the building and its immediate surroundings. In metropolitan areas where rapid and uncontrolled urbanization is occurring, it is essential to preserve cultural heritage in terms of urban history and social memory. To conserve cultural and natural assets, architects or experts with necessary technical equipment are not sufficient alone; every individual should be raised with the awareness of preservation and adopt the cultural past of the society. As a result of the study, the Sincan Family house, documented as having great value for Gölyazı through this study, will be brought back to life after the restoration projects, and the public will have the opportunity to access the building, which will make a meaningful contribution to the history of local architecture and will set an example for other structures in terms of the protection of our cultural heritage.
