Abstract (EN)
This thesis examines the rural representations in Gönül Dağı TV series from sociological and cultural perspectives. The aim of the research is to understand to what extent the depiction of rural life in the series aligns with or deviates from the realities of rural conditions. Through semiotic analysis, the adaptation processes of the characters to rural life are examined, focusing on how these processes relate to social, economic, and cultural factors. The study finds that the series redefines rural areas not only as places of escape but also as spaces where strong social bonds exist. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding how television series reflect social realities and the messages conveyed to viewers through these representations.
