Abstract (EN)

This study has been carried out with women who are married at least for 3 years by flirting or having arranged marriage and it aims to reveal the differences of their adjustment and disaffection level. 100 married women who lived in Kartal district of İstanbul participated into study. In this research "Marital Adjustment Scale", "Marital Disaffection Scale" and a socio demographic data form which is prepared by the investigator were used. According to the statistical analysis of the results gathered, there was no significant correlation between marrying style and marital adjustment and disaffection. There was a negative and significant correlation between duration of flirting which has been spent before marriage and marrital disaffection. Results of the study are discussed in the light of the literature
