Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a twisted electromagnetic wave with orbital angular momentum has been produced and the intensity distribution of these waves in the visible region has been investigated by image processing techniques. For generating electromagnetic waves with angular momentum, the hologram technique was used. The fork holograms have been plotted by the Mathematica software in the frame of Fourier transform. The amplitude and phase of the single-frequency-electromagnetic waves which are coherent and monochromatic have been modulated by using DLP/DMD technology. In this way, twisted electromagnetic waves carrying orbital angular momentum are produced. With the aid of DMD (digital micro mirror device), two-dimensional profile images of twisted electromagnetic waves with orbital angular momentum were projected and recorded with a CCD camera. The intensity distribution of the recorded profile images in high-resolution image format has been investigated by using the C# language, image processing techniques, and the Visual Studio 2019 program. As a result, the result of the theoretical calculation of the intensity distribution has been confirmed experimentally.
