Abstract (EN)
There are many factors that affect the system performance in Visible Light Communication systems. One of these factors is the dimming level of the transmitted signal. In this thesis, it has been investigated the effect of the dimming level, affects the system performance, on the Variable Dimming Level modulation methods. Specifially, it has been analyzed the bit error rate performance of the VPAPM transmission scheme under different dimming levels, indoor power distribution at different power levels, and the importance of threshold information. In this context, the thesis study includes the simulation results obtained in the MATLAB environment for the mathematical framework created by considering the Lambertian model. According to the consequence obtained from the simulation results, the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed and improved systems are presented.
