Abstract (EN)
Graphic design students take basic art education as a part of their undergraduate degree. Despite this, the effects of such education on the designers and their work has previously not been discussed by educators or the commercial graphic design community. This thesis moves from the impression that basic art education is insufficient for the education of designers, and investigates the scope of basic art education from a perspective of graphical design as well as its impact on the graphic design disciplines.
